Dear Traders,
We are pleased to inform you that starting September 5th, 2011 the trading conditions of «Admiral.Standard» accounts will be updated. We are implementing these changes in order to make your Admiral experience even more profitable and convenient.
There are two primary changes that we would like to make you aware of. The first is change affects leverage being adjusted base on USD rather than the base currency in which the account is denominated. Accounts will now have their leverage adjusted from the base currency of your account, such as EUR or XAU, as opposed to being translated into USD to determine the maximum possible leverage. As a result, understanding leverage limits will not now be a significantly more straightforward process.
The second change taking place is that concerns automatic leverage adjustment. Leverage will no longer automatically adjust upwards as your account balance is lowered, instead, you will now be able to manually adjust your account leverage through the Account Management section of the Admiral Markets Trader’s Room*. This change will give you yet another tool in your risk management arsenal. Please note that the leverage limits on balance value requirements will still exist, and are listed in the table below:
| Balance in USD, EUR or XAU |
Maximum Leverage |
| below 2,000 |
up to 1:500 |
| 2,000-5,000 |
up to 1:200 |
| 5,000-100,000 |
up to 1:100 |
| above 100,000 |
up to 1:50 |
* The maximum available leverage rate will automatically decrease when the Clients account balance exceeds the key balance value levels presented above.
* Backwards leverage change to higher rates will not be done automatically when a Clients balance decreases, however the leverage may be increased manually by Client.
The following would be a good example of our new leverage adjustment parameters:
If you had €2,500 in your account your maximum leverage would be 1:200. If you then chose to withdraw €750 worth of profits, you would be left with €1,750. This would mean that your maximum leverage would now be 1:500. However your leverage will stay at 1:200 until you choose to update that yourself by making an easy change in the Account Management section of your Trader’s Room account.
We wish you continued success in your trading and as we here at Admiral Markets will continue to create new ways to help support your success.
Kind Regards,
Admiral Markets LTD
